Day 1 - Rockford to Indianapolis, Indiana

It is Thursday, May 3lst and a very cold and wet morning but we are heading out none the less.  We decided to stop in Westmont, Illinois to visit w/Bruce’s parent’s before we start traveling.  They are both in their 90’s – bless their hearts.  My sister and her husband, MaryAnn and Ron also joined us for a brief visit, which was so nice of them.  We are taking a cruise w/them from Rome to Venice upon our return, which is before the trip to Greece, so more good times.

There wasn’t a lot to see traveling South to Indianapolis so you can breath a sigh of relief from tons of pictures.  They will be forthcoming I’m sure.

Our main reason for coming here was to visit w/our niece and her husband, Kristin and Skyler.  They moved into a lovely new home in Avon which we were anxious to see.  Skyler is doing some great carpentry work in the house and they are both painting, etc.  A lot of work but will be beautiful once all completed.   Huge back yard for the dogs.  Oh yes, they have two awesome dogs, Busch and Wrigley.  Had fun running around the back yard w/them – I have to get in some exercise!! We went out for dinner which gave us plenty of time to talk – lot of laughs as well.   Thank you for taking time out to spend w/your Aunt and Uncle.  It was a great time and you’re both very gracious hosts.  Hopefully, the next time we come to visit, we can spend more time.   Sorry we kept you up so late!!
